The Prettiest Pink Maxi Dress You Need This Summer

I’ve got summer on my mind thanks to the warmer-than-usual weather we’ve been having for the last several weeks. All I can think about is bikinis, iced tea, and lounging by the pool to soak up all the sunshine my skin can handle with SPF 70 ☀️😎 We laid by the pool this past weekend and I still managed to get mildly sunburned despite the sunscreen and only being outside for a few hours, but I can’t say I’m totally surprised since I’m so fair. I always look forward to the idea of summer each year and all the fun adventures that lie ahead. I say “idea” because I don’t particularly love the 110+ degree weather that comes along with it, but I’ve gotten used to it over the years 😜 I get so excited about adding new pieces to my summer wardrobe, whether it’s a new swimsuit or a cute top, and this dress immediately caught my eye as I was scrolling on the Revolve app last week.

I couldn’t help but get drawn in by the gorgeous pink shade and the beautiful, multi-colored stripes woven throughout the fabric. Depending on the lighting or how the dress moves you get a gorgeous prism effect of various rainbow hues - it’s so stunning! I also love the criss-cross neckline in the front and how open the back of the dress is. It’s the perfect balance of showing some skin while still feeling covered up and not super exposed. I honestly wasn’t sure how I would feel about the style because I don’t have a lot going on in the girls department lol but it fits perfectly! Also, talk about twirl factor - the full skirt on this dress is amazing and it feels like you’re floating on a cloud! I’m just envisioning myself wearing it in Hawaii or some other tropical beach resort, now I just need to book a plane ticket 🛫 This my first purchase from the Sundress brand and I’m so impressed with the quality overall. All of their dresses are designed in the South of France and made by artisans in India and Italy! The founder and designer of the label, Estelle, was inspired by her travels and wanted to design dresses that embodied femininity while also striking a balance between simplicity and opulence. After learning more about this empowering female-led brand, I’m that much more eager and excited to wear this dress and buy more of their dresses for years to come!

A dress such as this is stunning on it’s own, but I love using accessories to pull the whole look together. When it came to styling this look, there was no question that I would wear my newest straw and leather bag since it embodies that summer vibe, but I wasn’t totally sure what to do about the shoes. I was thinking about going with the ivory pair of Schutz heels that I’ve been wearing a lot this spring, but since this dress is so vibrant and colorful I wanted the shoes to get on that level too! Colorful heels have been trending this season and when I found this lace-up pair from Marc Fisher I knew they’d be perfect and help to pull out the metallic green stripes in the dress. The heel height is also super comfortable and not too high - I’m so excited to wear these heels with neutral outfits too!
