Smocked Styles for Summer 2020

Since today is #ThrowbackThursday I thought I would throw it back to one of my all-time favorite dresses I’ve ever gotten from Target. Not only do I love the off-the-shoulder and tie-waist details, but I wore it on our trip to Chicago 2 years ago and have so many fun memories being a tourist and walking the city streets in this dress. Even though it’s 2 years old, it’s very on-trend right now thanks to the smocked trend that’s taking the summer season by storm. I’ve seen it appear on dresses, tops and skirts and it doesn’t look like this trend is stopping anytime soon! There’s something youthful and playful about this trend which I really love, especially when it’s incorporated into a floral pattern, like with this off-the-shoulder dress.
