A Lovely Lavender Blouse

Have you ever been influenced to purchase a product by an ad that popped up on your Facebook or Instagram feed? I see ads constantly, but this was the first time I was #influenced and made a purchase from one. I saw an Instagram ad for Kate Hudson’s clothing company Happy x Nature, and when this blouse popped up I instantly swooned! It definitely checked all the boxes with the color, sleeves and floral embroidered details—clearly Instagram knows what I like. I had never heard of the brand until I saw the ad, and after doing some more research, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Happy x Nature is on a mission to make beautiful clothes while also minimizing their impact on the environment. When fashion can be both beautiful and sustainable it’s definitely a win-win!

It was love at first sight when I saw this top, but when I got it in the mail and tried it on, I wasn’t totally sure how I felt about it. I hopped on my Instagram stories to get your thoughts and post a poll…literally every single one of you loved it and voted for me to keep it! The only “no” vote I got was from Freddy and I don’t count that ;) You guys definitely helped my decision to keep the top and I’m so glad that I did! You all helped me remember why I loved the top in the first place. This lavender color has been growing on me so much lately and the puffy sleeves are a bit more dramatic than something I would normally wear, but I’ve been trying to get out of my comfort zone with clothes a bit more lately! It’s fun to add drama to an outfit in small ways, and I think the sleeves add just the right amount. This blouse can also be dressed up or down and I love the idea of wearing it for a fun date night out, even though it might be a few more months before that happens again.
