A Boho-Inspired Summer Crop Top

I mentioned in one of my posts last week that I’ve been gravitating towards bohemian style tops and dresses more and more over the past month or so. In a weird way, it sort of feels like I’m going “back to my roots” because it was a style that I loved in high school and college. I’m so excited to explore more free-flowing dresses and boho-inspired tops for the summer season.

Now I don’t know about you, but my inbox has been getting inundated with emails from tons of retailers advertising all the sales going on right now. I end up deleting most of them, but I pay attention to the ones from some of my favorite stores to make sure I don’t miss out on any amazing deals. Nordstrom has been having a variety of daily sales on their website with markdowns on tops, dresses, shoes, accessories and more! When I came across this Free People top I thought it would be so cute for summer!

The poppy color is more vibrant than something I would normally wear and it’s a bit outside of my comfort zone, but I really love the sleeves and the button-front details. Plus, sometimes we all need to step out of our comfort zone every once in awhile! If we don’t, we may never discover new things that we end up loving. As the weather continues to warm up, I definitely plan to wear this top with a pair of cut-off denim shorts and slip on sandals. For this look though, I paired it back to this high-rise, distressed pair of denim. I’ve had these jeans for a couple of years now, and while they don’t have a ton of stretch, I love the silhouette and how the rips are in all the right places. I ordered a few more boho-inspired pieces on sale at Nordstrom that I can’t wait to share with you in the coming weeks! In the meantime, have an amazing weekend friends!
