Fall Capsule Wardrobe: Part 2
It’s time for another installment of my fall capsule wardrobe series! A couple weeks ago I kicked off this new segment with the first post in the series and I’m so excited to be sharing another one with you today! My intent for this series is to show you how you can create versatile outfits for the fall season without breaking the bank. All you need is a few key pieces to create a variety of looks to take you from day to night!
Today I’m so excited to share this amazing burgundy skirt with you and I’m even more excited to show you how to style it multiple ways throughout this series! It’s only $59, has an elastic waistband and it’s made out of a stretchy ponte material, making it extremely comfortable. What I love most about this skirt is the asymmetrical hemline and the slit in the front—it truly adds an elevated element making it great for going from daylight to date night. The rich, burgundy shade is one of my absolute favorites for fall and I feel like it pairs well with so many colors too! The skirt runs a little bit large, I ended up sizing down to an XXS Petite and I never wear petite sizes.
I also wore this striped tee that was shown in the first post of this series—it’s so versatile and comfortable and comes in quite a few other prints and colors. For only $17 I may just need to get the other colors as well! I’m a sucker for stripes so naturally that’s the print I gravitate towards, but also because it truly goes with everything! And if you read my post last month about this wool hat that I’m obsessed with, you’ll know that I’m very new to wearing hats in general. But with the start of the fall season I felt like it was the perfect time to start wearing them and I am so happy that I did! The blush color is one of my favorite neutrals to wear and I will definitely be incorporating it into my other outfits for fall.
Speaking of versatile, you’ll be seeing a lot more of these black ankle boots throughout the series. I’ve curated the outfits to work around one pair of shoes because my goal was to make these outfits practical, affordable and easy! Don’t get me wrong because I love shoes and any excuse to buy multiple pairs really gets my heart racing! But the whole point of a capsule wardrobe is to stick to a few pieces that all work together, so that’s where the ankle boots come into play :) Thanks for tuning into another week of my fall capsule wardrobe series, and I can’t wait to show you another outfit next week! xo
