Travel Bucket List
With summer in full swing here in Arizona, the travel bug has been getting to me and making me want to escape the heat and go on an adventure. I have so many wonderful memories from my childhood of traveling with my parents, whether it was a trip to California, Hawaii or even Canada. During the summer months, I'm always reminiscent of those special times and oh how I wish that I could go back to the days of having an entire summer off to do whatever I wanted! Unfortunately, the summer time is usually busiest for Freddy and I with our work schedules, so most of our trips are planned either in early spring or in the fall. That's not to say however, that we don't have big dreams of traveling to our hearts content and exploring new countries!
Travel is high up on our list of things we want to do before we start a family of our own. The farthest outside the U.S. that we have traveled together is to Vancouver, B.C. for our honeymoon (which was amazing!) but we definitely have a desire to explore Europe, Asia and South America. So, without further ado, here is my/our top 5 places we just can't wait to visit!

1. London
Okay, so this is really MY #1 spot to travel to, but ever since I can remember I have loved London! I think it stemmed from watching The Parent Trap hundreds of times as a little girl and dreaming of walking down all the adorable streets and checking out all the shops. Plus, I loved talking in a British accent with friends (and still do...duh!) and pretending that we lived in that charming city. Even though the city of London is top on my list, I also would love to visit the English countryside, like Cotswolds. This desire also stems from another favorite movie of mine...The Holiday! Again, just more reasons to feel like I'm living inside some of my favorite films.
2. Italy
This is definitely Freddy's top pick on where he wants to travel, since some of his heritage traces back to parts of Italy. Positano is one of the spots that's top on our list, with the amazing food and gorgeous beaches. Of course, there are so many other cities in Italy we would love to visit, like Milan, Rome, Venice and Florence to name a few. The views are definitely calling my name!
3. Austria
"The hills are alive with the sound of music..." Yes you guessed it, yet another movie has inspired this location as well, but how could it not!? Just seeing Julie Andrews sing atop those majestic mountains and run through the town square, I can't wait until I can do those things too! Although, I wish I could sing as beautifully as her ;)
4. Santorini
Pretty much ever since I saw Sisterhood of the Traveling pants, I was hooked on Greece. The way the ocean matches the blue roof tops of those quaint buildings dotting the seaside cliffs is so enchanting. I also want to ride on a Vespa just like Lena did, but thankfully I don't need to find the love of my life there, because I've already got him :)
5. Iceland
This is a more recent addition to our list, and it's a place that we want to visit in both the winter and summer months. We have heard amazing things about Reykjavik, but something else I've always wanted to see in person is the Northern Lights! I know they can be tricky to spot at times, so we'll have to plan our trip accordingly, but it would be such a beautiful sight to see!
