Trend Alert: Circle Bags
This spring one trend in particular has really taken off like wildfire: the circle crossbody! The first time I saw this shape come to life was with the Chloé 'Pixie' bag (shown below, top right) in August of last year. I love the gold top handles on it and the subtle hardware details throughout. This bag was popular when it was released, but really gained a ton of hype once Meghan Markle was spotted wearing it during her first Christmas with the Royal family this past year. I don't think that any retailer in North America, let alone the world, had this bag in-stock after that picture went viral! It seems like this catapulted the circle bag trend and now almost every designer has some version of this style. Of course, not everyone can afford the Chloé version, but there are so many other really fun options to choose from right now! One of mine is the Madewell 'Juno' bag in this mauve shade, but it is also available in a nice, neutral beige color. Last year I saw a lot of bloggers wearing the Cult Gaia 'Ark' clutch, which I think is a very beautiful and unique bag, but the more I saw it on Instagram, the less unique I felt it was. This year they've released an updated version of that style which I absolutely love! It of course has a rounded silhouette, but the varying bead sizes that make up the crossbody strap are so fun and different; the perfect spring and summer option!
No matter what your style is, there is truly a circle bag for everyone, and you don't have to spend a fortune on it either!
