Re-Wearing A Summer Dress

I’m trying to be better about getting creative with the pieces I already have in my closet rather than buying new items all the time. It’s the double-edged sword of being a blogger! I want to stay relevant, on top of the latest trends and styles, and show you guys all of my favorite new finds. But I also want to be financially responsible, reasonable and frugal. It’s a tough battle and one that I still have not conquered! But I’ve learned over the years that playing up certain pieces with different accessories can give it a completely different look and make it feel brand new.

The last time I wore this dress on the blog was during our summer trip to Chicago last year—I have so many fun memories in this dress walking down Michigan Avenue, visiting the Drake Hotel as seen in my favorite movie, My Best Friends Wedding, and enjoying an amazing Italian dinner with friends at Eataly! This time I decided to pair it with my favorite handbag for a pop of color and these neutral wedges. I love how lightweight the fabric is and that’s it’s an easy dress to wear all day long, even for a warm summer day.
