The Perfect Dress To Wear This Spring
Over the last month or so you’ve heard me talk a lot about some of the biggest fashion trends for spring and which ones I’m investing in. I haven’t really ever considered myself to be a "trend follower” when it comes to fashion, but this season there’s so much I’m excited about that it’s hard not to follow along and have some fun! I recently added some new pieces to my spring wardrobe that I’m excited to show you, the first being this effortless wrap dress from Reformation. I’ve been seeing so many different shades of green in magazines and various retailer sites, and it’s not a color that I typically wear, so I decided to branch out and go for it! Sage green was a major theme in Fendi’s Fall 2022 RTW show, so just consider this my head start in preparation for wearing even more green later this year 😉
Reformation has been a brand that I’ve admired for many years because of their commitment to sustainability and the way that they create their clothing, but after purchasing my first few pieces last year, that admiration grew into a low-key obsession. Their attention to detail in each item is amazing and I feel like it’s pretty well-priced for the quality that you’re getting. I have always been drawn to their dresses first because they are versatile for so many occasions, whether you just want something to wear for date night, brunch with your girlfriends, or as a wedding guest, there’s something for every occasion. Their dresses offer the perfect blend of chic and sexy; most of their styles either have some sort of slit or cut out/low back to show a little bit of skin while still feeling tasteful.
I actually bought this dress last year in a blush pink shade (shocker) and loved it so much! The only downside was that after washing it a couple of times, it seemed to fit me a little bit tighter than it had previously (I bought an XS) and therefore the fabric was a bit too sheer in my butt - I didn’t feel comfortable wearing it in public anymore. (I actually am selling the dress on my Poshmark if you’re interested!). When I saw the same style in this gorgeous moss green shade I knew it would be the perfect spring/summer color to add to my wardrobe! I also sized up and got a S this time and I’m so glad that I did - it feels just a bit more roomy in the hips which eliminates any potential fears I had about it being too tight. To be honest, I want this dress in every color 😂 that’s how comfy and classic it is! It’s such an effortless style that you could easily dress up or down (especially in black) and the wrap silhouette is universally flattering on every body shape!
Freddy, being the fashionisto that he is, also found this gorgeous straw bag for me to complete the look 😍 He knew I was on the hunt for a neutral bag that I could wear with my spring/summer outfits (as much as I love my Mansur Gavriel circle bag, not everything goes with pink 😉), and this one is perfection! It’s my first purchase from the brand Aje and I’m so impressed with the construction and quality. I can’t wait to wear it on repeat this season!
