How To Wear The Bra Top Trend For Spring 2023

A few weeks ago I did a poll on my Instagram Stories asking you guys what type of content you’d like to see more of here on the blog, and “how to wear and style fashion trends” got the most votes! I’m so grateful for your feedback and input because I love creating content that resonates with you, inspires you and helps you feel confident in your beautiful self 😍 So I’m back with another post talking all about how to wear the “lingerie all day” trend and sharing my take on how I’ll be incorporating it into my spring wardrobe. I have so many more spring outfits planned throughout the next few months that I can’t wait to share with you, so make sure you’re following me on Instagram and LTK for all the updates!

I’ll start by saying that this trend is extremely outside my comfort zone due to the exposed stomach situation, but I’m taking baby steps to try new things and be more confident in my skin. I first tried this trend last spring when it was primarily styled underneath oversized blazers, but this year we are seeing bras and bralettes worn on their own without a layering piece. I don’t feel ready to take the plunge and wear a bralette on it’s own, nor do I think I ever will! It’s a bit to risqué for me and if you’re in that boat with me that’s totally fine - the great thing about trends is you can make them your own and style them in whatever way suits you best. Instead of wearing this gingham bralette by itself, I decided to do a fun pattern play by pairing it back to this cropped, plaid shacket! I also really like the light blue and camel tones paired together and it adds a nice pop of color to this overall neutral look. Speaking of color, I’m going to try wearing this bralette with a beautiful lilac/orchid blazer and some baggy jeans - I think the pastel hues will work nicely together but you can be the judge 😉 Stay tuned for that outfit coming to the blog soon!

If this trend feels like too much, you can also opt for a crop top instead that will hit you more at the waistline to minimize the amount of skin showing. This still gives off the vibe of the trend while providing a bit more coverage! Try going for a matching crop top and skirt set like this pink one - you’ll be rocking 2 trends in one since matching sets are also climbing the trend charts this spring. Would love to hear your thoughts on this outfit and if you’re thinking of trying something similar! xo
