How To Style Leather Shorts For Fall
Happy December! I’m about a week late to the party but better late than never 😊 I came down with Covid the day after Thanksgiving and I felt so out of it for about a full week! I sadly had to cancel a work trip that I spent the last 3 months planning, so I honestly just felt super bummed out last week and not my usual cheerful self. I’m feeling so much better now and it feels great to get back into my normal routines, like creating fashion content here on the blog and on Instagram!
I hope you watched my latest YouTube video where I did a try-on haul of my most recent Abercrombie order. I got some really cute pieces during their pre-Black Friday sale and I loved trying it all on for the first time with you guys! This order was focused primarily on sweaters and bottoms. I felt like I didn’t have a lot of pants/skirts to pair with some of the tops I’ve purchased recently outside of jeans, so I wanted to mix things up with a couple of faux leather pieces since I’ve been seeing that trend all over social media and Pinterest lately. I got these vegan leather shorts to try and I was obsessed the second I put them on!
I had been eyeing them for about a month before I finally decided to pull the trigger, and I had a vision for a monochromatic outfit in all brown that I wanted to try. If you watched my vlog then you’ll know the idea was way better in my head than in person 😂 but I decided to pair the shorts with this “oat milk” cream sweater instead and I love how it turned out! Still sort of monochromatic with the neutral tones without looking like a piece of 💩. I also decided to style it with my new loafers to go for more of a preppy vibe. I love these loafers so much and they’re such a great fall shoe! I got them in my normal size but word to the wise: I recommend slowly breaking them in and having bandaids on hand. I wore them for the first time on a shopping trip at the mall with my mom and wow was I in pain 😂 I had to ask our waiter at the Nordstrom Café to bring me some bandaids lol it was bad. I ended up buying some foot petals to put inside the shoes to help with some of the areas that rub…but other than that they are great! With any new shoes they just take a little time to break in.
I have lots more fall/winter outfit inspiration coming your way that I can’t wait to share! We are also going to Cancun for the first time with some friends next week and I can’t wait to film it all for an upcoming vlog. Let me know what else you’d like to see on my YouTube channel over the coming months - I love creating content for you guys and am always open to your thoughts/feedback! 💛
