A Lavender Haze Inspired Fall Outfit

I just wanna stay in that lavender haze…💜 You guys I’m not okay right now because yesterday I was somehow able to get presale tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour!!! 🤩👏🏻 It was such an emotional rollercoaster and I had reached a few low points thinking it wasn’t going to happen at all…but it all worked out and I’m still on shock. I’m going to share all the details with you & start at the beginning.

I’ll start by saying that I’m definitely not the biggest die-hard Swiftie fan out there (sorry), but I have a lot of history with T. Swift and so many memories tied to her songs during my high school and college years. I was a freshman when her debut album was released and since I was very into country music at that time I naturally was obsessed! My love for her music only grew when Fearless and Speak Now came out. I even went to her Speak Now Tour in Los Angeles in 2011 and it was so amazing! It was when she shifted into more of a pop sound for Red that I started to lose my enchantment with her and it really bummed me out. I felt like she was leaving the country world behind and, in a way, me as well. After that I stopped listening to her new albums altogether and only heard her top hits when they played on the radio. I eventually grew out of my country girl phase and it wasn’t until 2018 when I finally let go of my grudge (yes it took 6 years lol) and started listening to 1989 and Reputation. At that point I started liking a lot of her songs on these albums and when she released Lover I felt like I was back in the T. Swift fan club. I’ve especially loved the re-recordings she’s done so far and it’s been so fun reminiscing on the songs that I grew up with!

When The Eras Tour was announced my friend and I noticed that Paramore was going to be one of the openers for the AZ shows and for us it was a no brainer - we HAD to go! We are big fans of Paramore’s earlier albums (All We Know Is Falling and Riot!) and when we were in high school we saw them perform at local shows here several times. I don’t love their new music as much, but their pop/punk songs are still some of my absolute favorites and I’m so excited that there’s a chance they might sing some of them on this tour! We both signed up for the Ticketmaster presale and somehow we both got selected! My code was for 3/17 (opening night!) and hers was for 3/18. Going into this we both set a budget of not paying more than $150/ticket including fees. Ideally if we could snag some tickets at the $45 price point that would be even better! We logged in yesterday right at 10am when presale started and the line queue was moving soooo slowwwww. It’s funny looking back on it now because we thought that we would be able to get tickets within 5 minutes…LOL wishful thinking. After waiting for 3 hours she was able to get in to look for seats but there were zero available 😭 We kept hearing all over the internet that the site was crashing for other people too. She kept refreshing the page but sadly got booted all the way back to the start of the line queue again. Meanwhile my queue bar had barely inched forward at all. I think after about 4 hours I got in to look at the seat map but there were only a couple of tickets up in the highest section and they were $99 a piece. I grabbed them as quickly as I could and right as I was about to enter my credit card info the site kicked me out and took me back to the line queue. I was SO MAD 😤😠 We both kept trying and once we were both able to check the seat map again it kept saying there were no seats available. We had been at this all day and when I logged off from work at 5 I felt so defeated. I had kept the line queue open on my laptop just in case and just as I was about to start a workout I happened to check the page and saw that THERE WERE TICKETS AVAILABLE! I found two $45 tickets in the lower 100-level section and didn’t even question it. It was the fastest checkout experience of my life! I called my friend immediately after getting my confirmation email and I was shaking so bad 😂 It wasn’t until after my purchase that I even looked at the map to see where our seats were located…which is riiiiight up against the side of the stage 😐 Will we even be able to see her perform on it? TBD haha but the fact that we’ll be there opening night has me so excited!!

Which all comes full circle to this lavender haze moment I’m having with this outfit 💜 When I bought this Avec Les Filles coat on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this summer I had no idea it would be so perfect for the Midnights era that we’re in! As you all know I don’t stray from my neutral color palette too often, but for this coat I’m making a big exception 😉 I wanted to go for a more casual look so I paired it with my favorite distressed Madewell jeans, white sneakers, and this striped sweater that I got from J. Crew many years ago. I thought it perfectly complimented this lavender coat and pulled the whole look together. The coat is sadly no longer available, but I linked similar options below in both colorful and neutral options depending on your vibe! Okay so I have to know, were you able to score tickets for The Eras Tour?! I know it’s been so rough for everyone trying to get them, but don’t lose hope! It’s all going to work out 💕
