A Fall Knitwear Outfit

Hello September! šŸ Iā€™m so excited for all the fall things coming around the corner like pumpkin spice lattes, sweaters, and apple pie. This month has always signaled the beginning of the fall season in my mind, even though itā€™s still 103 degrees here in Phoenix. Yes, I was majorly sweating when we took these photos šŸ˜‚šŸ„µ Knitwear is hands-down my favorite category when it comes to fall fashion - yes even more than boots, coats, or denim. I just love the variety in textures, fabrics, and stitching that are at your fingertips when shopping for the ultimate cozy sweater! And the fact that knitwear isnā€™t just limited to sweaters (exhibit A: these pics šŸ˜‰). This outfit is an ode to my love of knitwear and my go-to transitional outfit as we move from summer into fall. It still screams fall while showing a little skin and being somewhat practical before the temps really cool down.

Pink and green has been one of my favorite color combos for a long time, and even though this cardigan has more beige undertones, I still love it paired back to this olive green knit skirt. The cardigan (Abercrombie) and skirt (Target) Iā€™ve had in my closet for a couple of years, but Iā€™ve never worn them together until now! As much as I love shopping for new pieces at the beginning of a new season to get inspired and excited, I really enjoy putting new outfits together with items I already own. Itā€™s like a fun game and really puts my capsule wardrobe philosophy to the test! Plus, once I put a new look together for the first time, my brain files it away as an additional outfit option the next time I consider wearing one of these pieces.

I bought this knit bralette during the spring and it was my first time purchasing a bra that wasnā€™t intended to go under my top. It was a bit weird getting used to at first, but now Iā€™m totally into this trend and want to keep it going into the fall season! At least until it gets too cold outside to wear it šŸ˜‰ Putting this new outfit together has inspired me to get creative with the pieces I already have in my closet. You never know what you might come up with once you let your imagination have some fun - after all, thatā€™s what fashion should beā€¦FUN! Canā€™t wait to share some more fall-inspired outfits with you over the coming weeks. Make sure youā€™re subscribed to the blog and my YouTube channel so you get all the updates! xo
