This Dagne Dover Fanny Pack Is Life-Changing
Hi friends! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written a blog post (things have been super busy around here) so I thought we could have a quick little catch up on all the things 😊 Freddy and I spent a few days in Minneapolis the week of August 8th and had such a great time! It was our first time in the city and we really loved exploring around downtown and taking in all the sights. I just posted a travel vlog over on YouTube so if you want to see more from that trip, watch it here! When we got home I had one day to do laundry and repack my suitcase for a work trip to Seattle. I didn’t really think about the tight turnaround between our trips so lesson learned for next time 😅 but I got to meet my team in person for the first time which was amazing! Working from home definitely has its perks, but there’s something about that human connection that really deepens relationships and builds stronger bonds with your coworkers. I also wasn’t anticipating being so exhausted from that quick 2-day work trip! I guess I forgot what it’s like going into an office and chatting with people all day 😂😴 Now that I’m back home and was able to rest and recharge this weekend (we binge re-watched seasons 1 & 2 of Stranger Things 😱) I’m ready to get back into a regular posting cadence with the blog!
Fall is just around the corner and I’m so excited for sweater weather, pumpkin spice lattes, and all the cozy scented candles from Bath & Body Works 🍁 The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale definitely got me in the mood for fall and helped jumpstart my cold weather wardrobe. I’m not so patiently waiting for the weather to cool down so I can wear all the coats and sweaters I bought (I bought wayyy too many coats and sweaters 🙈), but one piece from the sale that I’ve been wearing a ton is this Dagne Dover Fanny Pack - it’s seriously life-changing! It was my very first fanny pack/belt bag purchase and ever since this trend took off several years ago I’ve been a bit skeptical. I wasn’t super into the crossbody look and I definitely wasn’t into the 90’s way of wearing it around your waist. It took me awhile to warm up to this trend (and I’m so glad it’s still a trend!) but I finally decided to go for it when I saw this one on sale for $60. The color is a bold choice for me and a bit outside my comfort zone, but it actually works pretty well with most of the neutral tone outfits that I wear. I first wore it on our New Mexico trip last month and instantly realized just how great the hands-free life is!
Despite how small the fanny may appear, it’s actually very roomy with a few interior and exterior pockets for organization as well as a lipstick/chapstick loop for easy access. I can easily fit my phone, wallet, keys, and my chapstick inside and not feel like it’s all bursting at the seams. I also love that the water-resistant neoprene fabric is really durable yet lightweight and the zippers are sturdy and don’t feel like they’ll break after a few wears. I brought my fanny to Minneapolis and Seattle and love how secure my belongings feel when I’m walking around a new city. This bag has quickly become one of my wardrobe staples and I know I’ll continue to get so much use out of it! I’m already trying to decide which color to get next (I’m thinking either the dark olive green or the blush pink). If you’ve been on the fence about fanny packs I’m here to give you the Chantelle stamp of approval 💯 Even if you just wear it for your weekly errands or maybe you have a trip coming up where you’ll be doing a lot of walking, it’s totally worth it!
Thanks for hanging out with me today! I’m gearing up for lots of fall content coming to the blog and my social media channels very soon, so make sure you’re following me (@blushfulbelle) to get all the updates 😍 xx
