This Crochet Cardigan Belongs In Your Spring Wardrobe
I just wanna stay in that lavender haze 💜 The only thing on my mind these past few weeks has been the upcoming Taylor Swift Eras Tour (less than 2 weeks away!) and as a result, so many of my outfits have been inspired by her song lyrics that I can’t get out of my head! When I spotted this boho-inspired cardigan it instantly gave me Lavender Haze vibes, but it’s also on-trend with the “crochet craze” that has been taking this spring season by storm!
We first saw this trend emerge during the pandemic in 2020, no doubt thanks to the surge in crafting and knitting hobbies people were practicing while quarantining, and it’s continued to be seen throughout runway collections from designers like Gabriella Hearst and Proenza Schouler. This form of knitwear has taken on a more elevated approach this season in glamorous dresses and skirts intended for evening wear, but since that’s not my current lifestyle, I decided to go down a more casual route!
I love the feminine ruffle details on this cardigan and the fun lavender color for spring. For this look I chose to wear it with a bralette top and oversized denim to play down the “frilly” vibes and go for something more street style appropriate. I have a couple of fitted dresses that I’m excited to style it with for a completely different look! Even when I add trendy pieces to my wardrobe, I always make sure they are versatile and that I’ll be able to wear them with at least 5 different outfits. Otherwise you’ll end up with a bunch of random items of clothing that don’t pair back to the rest of your closet and it will likely go unworn. Make sure you’re following me over on the LTK app for more on-trend outfit ideas!
If you’re thinking of trying out the crochet trend I’ve rounded up some of my current faves below! What do you think of this trend?
