The Best Fashion Moments from Cannes 2022

One of the most prominent red carpets in fashion is finally back after a 2-year hiatus: the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France! The Festival de Cannes (pronounced “can”) is primarily known for celebrating the best in international cinema, but the celebrities, models, and influencers that strut the red carpet in their glamorous and eye-catching looks are what we’re truly here for 😉👏🏻✨ Whether it’s the latest runway look or a custom gown from a renowned designer, the outfits you’re about to see are 100% over-the-top and 100% fabulous! I’m so excited to dive into some of my favorite looks from this past week’s film screenings and red carpet events - lights, camera, action! 🎬

Elle Fanning

This might just be one of my favorite gowns/red carpet moments of all time! 😍✨ I simply adore Elle Fanning and this custom Giorgio Armani gown suits her so perfectly. The details on this gown are so exquisite: the subtle sweetheart neckline, the delicate beadwork of the crystals, and the way that the waistline nips in while accentuating her hips as it gracefully floats down in an a-line silhouette. It’s breathtaking! Her simple accessories and the bow barrette in her hair pull the entire look together beautifully; she’s truly a real-life Disney princess!

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway takes the crown because she has 2 stunning looks that made my favorites list! 😍 This white sequin Armani Privé two-piece gown is so effortlessly elegant. It’s so understated and yet the train adds the perfect amount of wow factor. Her hair is styled so simply as well which really pulls together this “not trying too hard” glam that only Anne can pull off (in Cannes 😉)!

The Devil Wears Gucci. This look is giving me major Andy Sachs vibes and I’m here for it! 👏🏻 This Gucci dress is so stunning and the glossy effect and texture of the fabric adds a fun element to this look. Anne looks so chic and classy in this ensemble - another winner!

Leonie Hanne

I’ve been following Leonie on Instagram for a little over a year now and absolutely adore her! Her smile is so joyful and infectious, but she also serves up some of the most amazing looks when it comes to fashion! Her style is always so on-trend and this custom Nicole + Felicia gown screams Leonie 🤩 Everything from the color to the dramatic sleeves and train - it’s a showstopper!

Melanie Laurent

I’m loving the vintage 70’s vibes that this bedazzled Gucci gown is serving up 😍👏🏻 The inverted triangular shapes throughout the bodice are so elongating and the rich purple hue combined with the earthy rust tones is exquisite! I’m taking notes on this color combo and saving it for reference in the fall!

Ginta Biku

Ginta, a Swiss-Lithuanian singer, wore this gorgeous tiered, lilac gown to the Triangle of Sadness screening on Saturday. While the designer is unknown, I’m obsessed with the bedazzled straps and triangular cutout that shows off her abs. Also, can we talk about how fabulous this giant skirt is?! It certainly makes a statement and I love the fairytale princess vibes this gown is giving!
