A Classic Summer Capsule Outfit
I can officially say that summer is in full swing now that I’ve gone on my first summer vacay! My mom and I went to Disneyland last week and had the BEST time ✨ If you follow me on Instagram then this isn’t news to you and you’ve likely already seen all my stories & reels documenting our trip 😉 Heck, it’s possible you might even be sick of hearing me talk about Disney lol but aside from fashion it’s the other love of my life so #sorrynotsorry. Freddy and I are trying to figure out a little summer getaway for just the two of us either in July or August so I’m really excited to start planning that! I’m also very excited for this upcoming long weekend to plan out some new content for my blog and Instagram, read some books by the pool with Freddy, and to play some games on my Nintendo Switch! Memorial Day Weekend has always felt like the weekend that seals the deal for summer; I’ve got all the summer things on my mind and I’m already planning out some new things to add into my wardrobe!
You’d think that I’d have plenty of summer clothes since I live in the desert where it gets to be 110 on average from June-September, but I actually don’t have that much 🙈 I’ve got a couple of pairs of shorts and maybe a couple of tank tops…so this year I really need to kick things into gear and get some pieces that I can wear on repeat when it feels too hot to wear any clothing at all. As I’m planning out my summer capsule wardrobe, I’m definitely going to play off of some pieces that I bought for spring, like this white corset-inspired top from Reformation. It’s such a classic tank that I can wear with literally anything! Since it wasn’t too hot out last weekend I paired it with my favorite mid-wash Madewell jeans, but I definitely need to find some new denim shorts to pair it with or a cute mini skirt. If you have any other ideas let me know!
I’m also really excited to continue styling these Dolce Vita heels into the summer 😍 I think they’re my favorite pair of heels that I own! They’re so comfortable and go with everything. I’m hoping to get some new mini dresses and I think they’ll look really cute with them! Stay tuned for more summer-inspired outfits coming to the blog really soon! xo
