An Easy, Fitted Summer Dress

Hi friend! Happy hump day 🐪😂 Okay who am I?! I can’t stand it when people use that phrase haha soooo let’s start over. HAPPY WEDNESDAY! 🤗 How’s your week going so far? This week feels so much more calm and less chaotic than last week which I’m so grateful for. Do you ever have weeks where you feel like you can’t catch your breath or even pause for a 5 min break? I don’t have kids and maybe I’m in for a crazy reality check when I become a mom lol but that’s what last week felt like for me! This week I feel so much more calm, centered, and focused and I think my new workout regimen has helped with that a bit!

My friend Katie and I started doing virtual workouts 4-5 times a week and it’s been so motivating and fun 👏🏻 Some days it’s hard for me to find the drive to get up and move my body, but when you have a friend doing it with you it seriously helps so much! Honing in on my “why” is also a big game changer for me when it comes to my motivation for working out. I want to become stronger, more toned, and more flexible…well actually just “flexible” haha I can’t even touch my toes right now which is so embarrassing to admit, especially since I was able to do the splits at one point in time. Okay now that we’ve caught up a little bit, I want to talk about this super cute dress that I’ve been dying to share with you! It’s literally the perfect summer dress and I find myself wanting to wear it everywhere: the grocery store, Target (b/c trips to Target are important 🎯), and Saturday morning coffee runs with Freddy! The silhouette is so flattering and it hugs in all the right places and it’s made with a soft, stretchy, and lightweight jersey material making it the most ideal dress for the warm summer months. Plus the wrap opening in the front will have you like: “just feel that summer breeze….the way it’s calling me.” 🎶😉 (Hint for the song I’m referencing: 💛💜✨🍳. Did you figure it out? If you did, let me know in the comments! But if you’re still not sure, here it is!) This dress comes in quite a few colors too - I really want to get it in black and possibly even this gorgeous olive green shade. It’s such a classic silhouette that you really can’t go wrong! Pro tip: wear a seamless thong with this one - a lacey one just won’t cut it! My favorite is this one by Commando - super stretchy and comfy and it feels AND looks like you’re wearing nothing, which in this dress is exactly what you want 😂

I’ve also been taking every opportunity to wear my denim jacket until I can’t anymore - I just love it so much! I also recently got these bronze sandals which I’m very excited to wear all summer long. They go with everything and they’re really comfortable!
