Off-Duty Style
When I have a day off from work, it usually involves running errands of some kind and trying to tackle my to-do list. As much as I would love to watch Netflix and stay in my pajamas all day, unfortunately that's not my reality (but I do try to squeeze in some of those days when I can!). I've always been a "jeans and t-shirt" kind of gal, so naturally this is what I gravitate towards when I have things to do and places to be.
A white tee is a classic staple in my book, and I find more often than not this is what speaks to me when I need something casual yet put together. It's a great foundation to any outfit and perfect for layering a cardigan or jacket over. For some reason I prefer a scoop neck to a v-neck, maybe because a scoop neck is softer around my neckline and less harsh than a deep "v". Nevertheless it's such an easy piece to pull out of my dresser if I'm in a hurry and know it will work no matter what.
These charcoal skinny jeans have become a favorite over the years. I got them at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few years ago and it's a purchase I haven't regretted! They're a nice alternative to blue jeans if I want a different look, and even though this grey is a little bit more limiting in terms of what colors I can pair them with, my favorite choice is blush pink! I always love a blush and grey combo and find the contrast to be so appealing. Now I just need this handbag to complete the look ;) And if you're looking for a new pair of casual sneakers to run around in, look no further than these Adidas. They are by far the comfiest sneakers I've owned and now I want them in every color!
