The County Line Bar-B-Q
A couple weeks ago, Freddy's best friend came into town to visit. Since it was his first time in Austin, we had to make sure he experienced some Texas barbecue! We all went to the County Line BBQ for the first time and had an awesome experience!
The restaurant is set in an old lake lodge, nestled right on the water amongst giant trees. They have a large indoor seating area, but since the weather was perfect outside, we opted for their covered patio. It's peaceful and inviting, making you want to stay awhile and reflect on how full you are after the meal!
Before our meal arrived, we were greeted with a large loaf of bread and endless amounts of honey butter. I could have filled up on the bread alone for dinner! But, I forced myself to save room because I knew that I would definitely want to eat the delicious BBQ meat.
We ordered their 5 meat smokehouse combo, knowing that we would surely be taking leftovers home with us! It ended up being great though because it allowed us to sample various meats, and enjoy some classic side dishes like beans, potato salad and cole slaw.
I also had a lot of fun exploring the property around the County Line. It's so quaint and charming with the lights strung throughout the trees, and families sitting by the water feeding the local ducks and turtles. It's a great spot to bring a group of friends and hang out, while enjoying delicious food and scenic views. Next time you're in Austin I highly recommend making this a spot on your list! And if you're not local, not to worry, the County Line BBQ will ship you some ribs :) Check it out on their website.
Have a great day!
Blushfully,
Belle
