The Most Versatile Suede Jacket for Fall
A couple of weeks ago on the blog I talked about the key ingredients to a creating a capsule wardrobe, and I have a couple more fall inspired outfits to share with you before I switch gears into full holiday mode 😍🎄🎅🏻 My best piece of advice around creating a capsule wardrobe is to gather items in neutral tones that will easily pair back to one another. After all, the whole reason behind this is to have easy, effortless outfits that you can throw together in a pinch! Think of a classic black or white t-shirt, your favorite pair of jeans, a leather or suede jacket (like the one I’m wearing here!), and a classic pair of sneakers. Pulling together items in classic silhouettes is the best route to go when it comes to investing in a capsule wardrobe, but it’s always fun to throw in a couple of trendy pieces to switch things up, like a sweater vest or a pair of trousers. The most important thing is to be creative and be yourself! Creating outfits is such a fun form of self-expression, so don’t try to be someone your not and just do you!
Since I’m obsessed with neutral tones, my whole closet is basically one giant capsule wardrobe 😂 I love neutrals because I think they are classy, timeless, and elegant. As you’re putting together your own capsule wardrobe, reach for pieces in white, cream, tan, camel, grey, and black. Don’t forget to throw some denim into the mix, both light and dark washes, either with a pair of jeans or a jacket…or both! For this outfit, I opted for a long sleeve waffle knit top to add some minimal texture and it’s long enough that I can wear it untucked with my faux leather leggings. It’s also the softest top I own and I love wearing it around the house with my sweatpants.
Stay tuned tomorrow as I share another fall-inspired outfit and more tips when it comes to bringing your capsule wardrobe to fruition! xo
