Spring Ready in Free People Florals

“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” 🌼 🌸 Miranda Priestly may not be impressed or agree with my decision to kick off spring with florals, but she can kick rocks, because I’m here 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 it 👏🏻!! You might even be doing a double-take thinking I’m crazy because here I am talking about spring in January 🤪 Even though we’re getting a rainstorm this weekend and the temps will be dropping into the 50s, we’ve had a very mild winter with temps hovering in the 70s, so needless to say, I’m already in a spring state of mind and I’m ready for all the cute floral dresses and tops!

I bought this Free People blouse last spring and I love the print and sleeves so much that I couldn’t resist bringing it out again to kick off my favorite time of year. Plus, I’ve really only worn it like 3 times since I bought because #quaratine and #WFHlife so naturally I’m going to take any excuse to rock it! I love it when winter’s chill is gone and the weather warms up just enough where it’s absolutely perfect in the sunshine and the shade is still just a bit chilly. It’s so nice being able to wear a long-sleeve top in a lighter fabric for the first few months of the year before summer kicks in and it’s too hot to even think about wearing anything but a tank top 🥵🔥

I’ve been really drawn to Free People since March of last year and so excited by the merchandise they’ve been creating. I’ll admit, sometimes their pieces can be a bit “out there” (case in point), but for the most part I love their flowy silhouettes, beautiful patterns and dynamic colors. Last night I ordered a few more pieces that are currently on sale at Nordstrom (like this blouse & this tank) and that I can’t wait to style in some upcoming blog posts!
