My Favorite Undergarments
With the new fall season on the horizon, I'm so excited to start refreshing my wardrobe and incorporating new pieces that are perfect for the cooler weather. While I'm excited to incorporate some new sweaters and jackets in my closet, the undergarments for those clothes are just as important. It's not always the most fun thing to invest in, but I've learned the importance of refreshing my intimates every 6 months-1 year; it really does make a difference in how I feel in my clothes!
I have established my favorites over the years and haven't strayed from them--once I find something I like it's hard to get me to try anything else. My favorite bra is the Natori 'Feathers' bra because it's so lightweight and comfortable; I never feel like I have to adjust it or mess with it throughout the day. It also has subtle lace details for a touch of femininity and pairs well with just about any item of clothing. Plus it comes in a variety of colors, including multiple neutral shades to pair with any outfit you wear. The bra is also available in a t-back version with gorgeous lace detailing--perfect for any low-back tops you may have. If you wear more fitted t-shirts/tops there's also this option that doesn't have any lace on the cup to ensure a smooth finish!
I've mentioned in a previous post that Hanky Panky is my go-to for panties--they are seriously the most comfortable pair I've ever worn! They are one size (fits 2-12), and the lace stretches comfortably without feeling like it's pinching or too snug. They come in two rises: original and low, as well as tons of pretty colors! Around the holidays they usually offer a 5-pack for a discounted price, so that's typically when I stock up. I also just bought a couple pairs on the Anniversary Sale last month, which is another great time to buy them on sale.
Undergarments aren't always the items I want to spend money on because they're not as fun as buying a new dress or pair of shoes. But I always feel better when I have a brand new bra or pair of panties, and I feel it's so important when building an outfit: you have to start with a solid foundation :)
