How To Elevate Your Work From Home Outfits

August sipped away like a bottle of wine.

I can’t believe August is already here! It feels like it was the beginning of May not that long ago and I was gearing up for the French river cruise with my mom. Summer truly feels like it’s slipping away into a moment in time. The first half of the year was very busy with travel and moving into our new place, so since coming back from the cruise in May I’ve been enjoying staying at home with Freddy and being a homebody (despite the fact that it’s 110+ every day and I’m desperate to escape the heat 🥵).

If you look back at the outfits I’ve worn throughout the summer I’ve been pretty obsessed with linen dresses and skirts. Even if I’m just going out for a Sunday morning coffee run or grabbing lunch with a friend, I love putting on something feminine and fun that elevates my overall look. But when I’m at home (which is 95% of the time thanks to work from home life) I’m all about comfort which is why you’ll usually find me in a t-shirt and jeans! Despite the crazy Arizona summer heat, living here has it’s perks like keeping the AC and ceiling fans on full blast at all times. 😂 I’m constantly reaching for a layering piece of some sort when I get chilly and this gorgeous wrap from alicia adams alpaca has been my go-to recently! 🤍 I’ve come a long way with my work from home fashion choices…I didn’t always dress this cute for work. 🤪

I work from home M-F and I’ve been on what seems like a never-ending quest to elevate my work from home wardrobe. In the early days of the pandemic I thought it was so cool that I could just roll out of bed in my pajamas and log onto my laptop, and for the most part, I sadly haven’t gotten out of that habit. Okay, so I don’t actually wear pajamas to work, but 90% of the time I’m wearing some form of leggings or sweatpants and a graphic t-shirt. Not exactly something I’d wear to the office, but most days it can feel so hard to get out of bed and find the motivation or energy into styling a cute outfit, especially when I’m only walking a few feet into my home office. I’m always trying to find simple ways to look put together that don’t require a ton of effort and this wrap has been the answer to my prayers! It’s the perfect accessory that gives me the right amount of warmth when I’m freezing under my ceiling fan and in back to back meetings, but it also makes me look polished and leek I put some sort of effort into my outfit for the day. I’ve also found that I’m so much more productive on the days that I put on a cute outfit vs when I’m wearing lounge/workout attire. I’m no psychology expert but since I’ve discovered this motivates me in some way, I’m going to stick with it. 😅

I’m wearing the ‘Aalassio’ wrap in the beige/light pink color combo and it’s even more beautiful in person! The subtle contrast in these two shades makes this a great neutral piece while still adding a slight pop of color. And I love that it combines my two favorite colors: beige and blush pink! It’s made from baby alpaca wool and silk which makes it luxuriously soft and adds a slight sheen when it hits the light.

I’m so grateful that alicia adams alpaca reached out to me to feature this piece and share it with you! I love discovering new brands that not only sell beautiful products, but have a unique story and history as well. alicia adams alpaca is a family-owned business that raises over 200 Suri alpacas in New York's Hudson Valley, producing artisan-crafted textiles and clothing from sustainable alpaca wool while nurturing relationships with South American indigenous communities. They have an assortment of clothing and home goods on their site and you can save 10% on your next purchase with my code ‘CHANTELLE10’! I’ve been eyeing their gorgeous throws for myself and family/friends - I think they’ll make great holiday gifts (crazy that I’m already thinking about Christmas lol but it will be here before we know it!).

If you work from home I’d love to know what your go-to outfits are or if you have any other recommendations for dressing cute while still being comfortable! xo
