Fall Target Haul: Pumpkin Sweater
Fall is by far my favorite season, even though we don’t really have fall in Phoenix, but I love it when the weather gets cooler and I can start to pull out my layering pieces. I decided to celebrate the season by doing a Fall Target Haul blog series! Last year I did something similar with my Fall Capsule Wardrobe series where I showed you how to style the same pieces from Nordstrom in different ways. This year, I decided to do the same thing but instead I’m showing you my favorite pieces from Target! I have been super impressed with Target’s apparel offering lately, and they have so many cute and cozy pieces for fall that I can’t wait to show you in the coming weeks! I purchased 9 pieces online, and with those 9 pieces, I’ll show you how to create at least a dozen different outfits! Just a heads up: the jeans that I wear throughout the series are not from Target; they’re either from J. Crew or Nordstrom Rack, and I’ll do my best to link similar ones at a similar price point. I’m excited to kick off the series today with this pumpkin sweater just in time for Halloween!
One of the reasons I love the fall season so much are the beautiful, rich hues: auburn, burgundy, rust, and all the neutrals. Since we don’t have any fall leaves here in the desert, I love any opportunity to wear these colors to make it feel like fall is truly here. While I have never and probably will never say that orange is my favorite color, let alone a color that I wear often, this pumpkin/rust shade is one of my favorites for the fall season. It reminds me of the many trips my parents and I used to take to the pumpkin patch—I always loved picking out my very own pumpkin. That’s why I was so excited when I found this cozy sweater in this color. It’s incredibly soft and has a fun drop shoulder detail with a fuller sleeve. The relaxed style of this sweater easily lends itself to pairing it with jeans or tucking it into a fitted skirt, which I’ll be sharing later this week!
I also fell in love with these shoes the second I saw them online! I love a chunky, block heel silhouette and the microsuede fabric in this rich, apple red pairs so nicely with the other fall colors I’ll be styling in this series. They’re a little high, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing them for a long period of time! They are great if you’re sitting at a desk at work or if you’re going to lunch or dinner for a couple of hours. These are another great option if you a like a block heel but are looking for something a bit lower.
Thanks for checking out the first post in this new series! Target just keeps getting better in my opinion, which is why I’m so excited to share some affordable and fashionable pieces that you can wear so many ways this fall! Stay tuned in the next few weeks as I share more and more looks, and in the meantime, I’d love to hear what your favorite fall activity is! Let me know in the comments below. xo
