Classic Camel Coats For Fall

I’ve gone through quite a few different seasons of style in my teenage and adult years. It’s fun to reflect back on how my fashion choices have changed over the years but also to see what comes back around. In high school it was all about logos and preppy vibes thanks to my obsession with Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister. Then in college and my young adult years I was all about boho thanks to Free People. As I grew in my career at Nordstrom and worked in departments like The Wedding Suite and Collectors, my style became more contemporary with slight feminine touches. I eventually found my way back to boho during the pandemic and now I’m back to more classic and contemporary pieces that I can wear for years to come. Despite the changes in my wardrobe, at the heart of it all I’ve always loved classic and timeless outfits that never go out of style. A great pair of straight leg jeans in a mid-wash, a fitted black dress, or a classic wool coat which is what inspired today’s post!

Neutrals are appropriate all year round, but something about a camel coat in the fall just feels right. It’s an elegant and timeless piece that instantly pulls an outfit together without much effort. I also love the versatility of a neutral coat and how many ways it can be worn! Pair it unbuttoned with a simple white t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers for a more understated and casual look. Or wear it with a slinky slip dress and knee-high boots for an elevated evening look. The possibilities are endless!

Last year I bought a shacket-inspired camel coat and it was one of my most worn items last fall! I even wore it buttoned up with a belt to create a makeshift dress. Check out my current favorites below and make sure you’re following me over on LTK for even more fall outfit inspiration! 🖤
