An On-Trend Fall Outfit Inspired by Red (Taylor's Version)
I’m so excited to show you a brand new outfit in my “Everyday Eras” outfit series! September marks the official start of fall so it was a no-brainer to celebrate the quintessential autumn Taylor Swift album, Red (Taylor’s Version)! ♥️🍂 You might be wondering what Everyday Eras means, so let me give you the 411 🤗 In this series I’ll be showing you how to emulate the style of your favorite album in a casual, everyday outfit for the days when you’re not at the Eras Tour (but wishing you were 🥲). Thankfully we have The Eras Tour Film right around the corner which means more opportunities to dress like our favorite era and have some fun! I definitely plan on seeing the movie more than once so I’ll definitely be dressing up for different eras each time I go ✨ Now let’s dive into this fun & flirty “loving him was Red” outfit!
When I initially started brainstorming the outfits I wanted to put together for Red, I wanted to keep them fall-focused and practical for everyday wear. I first spotted these knee-high boots and knew instantly that these would be the centerpiece for all the outfits I’d create! I’ve been wanting a pair of knee-high boots for sooo long, and the last time I owned a pair was ironically right around the time that Red first came out in 2012. I was long overdue to introduce a pair back into my wardrobe. I love the dark wine shade of these boots and since red is such a trending color for fall this year I know I’ll get lots of wear out of them! I just posted a brand new vlog on my YouTube channel where I show you all 3 looks that I’ve put together for the Red era and different ways to style these boots. Let me know which outfit is your fave!
The next piece I found was this adorable floral skort that has some feminine ruffle details and is perfect for twirling! I’ve purchased 2 skorts in the last month and I think they’re becoming one of my favorite things - I love that they look like a mini skirt but you have the added comfort knowing there’s shorts underneath and you’re not going to give anyone a show 😉 I especially love this floral number paired with the boots - it’s like they were made for each other! I also was so happy when I found this cropped crochet top to complete the look; it hits right at the skirt’s waistline which is perfect because I didn’t want to tuck something in and add unnecessary bulk. I think I can safely say this will be one of my favorite outfits of the season 🍂 Let me know what you think!
