Abercrombie YPB Activewear: An Honest Review (& Sale Info!)
This might be the most cliché blog post ever to be talking about activewear during the 2nd week of January when people are debating if they should stick to the workout goals they set on 1/1…but here we are! It’s always this time of year when I set new intentions for how I want to prioritize my health/wellness and kick my butt into gear after the holidays. New active clothes never fail to jump-start my motivation and this time I decided to try (for the first time) Abercrombie’s YPB active line! You know that I’m an Abercrombie girlie through and through, but for some reason I never gave much thought to their workout clothes; truthfully, I just wasn’t sure if they were going to be any good. I’m excited to give you my honest thoughts and the deets on the epic annual sale they’re having right now.
My immediate reaction when I started taking all the clothes out of the packaging (watch my YouTube vlog if you want the live version) was how soft the fabrics felt. Since it was my first time even touching YPB clothes my only comparison is activewear brands that I own and have worn before which are Alo, Lululemon, Vuori, and Zella. I can honestly tell you YPB felt more soft, luxurious, and yummy compared to all of those brands! It felt like Christmas morning trying everything on and being blown away by it all. I ordered the studioSOFT leggings (they live up to their name!) in an XS and S so that I could see how they felt and I opted for the small; the XS was just a little too constricting for my liking and the small was still fitted but not suffocating. I was also so excited about the one-shoulder sports bra! It was just as cute in person as I hoped it would be and it’s great for low impact workouts like yoga or spin where you’re not jumping up and down a lot since the padding/support is pretty light.
I also ordered the 7” bike shorts (please tell me how I’ve been going to spin class for a year and a half without owning bike shorts?!) and I’m obsessed! They’re such a great length and I wish they came in more colors besides black and grey. I honestly just want to wear them around our apartment that’s how comfy they are 😂 I thought my haul couldn’t get any better and then I tried on the cropped hoodie and I was done for. It’s SO GOOD 🔥 The silhouette is perfection and it’s incredibly soft; thankfully this does come in more colors (I want all of them) and it’s going to be a great layering piece to wear to my spin classes while it’s still freezing outside!
PS these New Balance sneakers I’m wearing just got restocked! They’re so versatile and you can’t go wrong with this classic color combo.
The last 2 items in my order don’t technically qualify as activewear, but this matching sweatshirt/sweatpant combo is also YPB and it’s so cozy! I’ve been seeing so many girls wearing sweatsuits (is that what they’re called?) and I really wanted an all black set since it’s classic. And the best part about all of these items is that I can mix and match them to create multiple active looks! 🖤
I’m genuinely beyond impressed with the YPB line and everything I ordered 👏🏻 I guess I had pretty low expectations lol but for the reasonable price point (especially compared to Lulu, Alo, and other premium brands) I feel like you’re getting so much more value out of YPB! And because of that it makes me want to buy more items since I know it’s great quality and well priced - I should have known Abercrombie would come in clutch! They’re having their annual activewear sale right now so if you want to get in on the action now’s the time - save 30% on all YPB items and 15% off almost everything else, too! If you end up shopping the sale I’d love to hear what you get! xo
