A Chic Way to Wear Ballet Flats This Summer

Timeless fashion has always held a special place in my heart. I love styling outfits in neutral shades and classic silhouettes because I know I’ll wear them for years to come. And let’s be honest, there’s less risk when you look back on old photos of yourself and say “what was I thinking?!” 😂 There was a time not so long ago that I chased trends and spent so much money on clothes that I barely wore. I took some time to reflect inwardly and really think about pieces that spoke to me, and I always came back to timeless, neutral pieces. I kept thinking about my favorite fictional female movie leads, like Elizabeth James, Andy Sachs, and Amanda Woods (#iykyk); their sense of style resonates with me so much and that’s the vibe I want to emulate when I get dressed every day. An outfit is never complete without the perfect pair of shoes, and one of the most classic items every women should have in her wardrobe is a pair of beautifully made ballet flats, and I’m so excited to tell you about this pair from Beckett Simonon.

I was introduced to the brand a couple of months ago when they offered to gift me a pair of their shoes, and I was immediately very impressed with the variety of styles they offer and their unique process. Rather than following a traditional retail model, all of their shoes are made-to-order, which results in a lower price for the consumer and a more eco-friendly model for the environment; basically the best win-win situation! I had such a hard time choosing between all of the gorgeous styles they offer, but as soon as I saw these ballet flats with the classic bow detail I couldn’t resist. I knew that they would be a timeless shoe I’d wear for years and years to come. The toffee color is even more stunning in person and quite literally the perfect neutral shade!

I had never ordered a pair of made-to-order shoes before, so it was really exciting to receive email updates throughout the production process and learn about the artisans that were hand-crafting my shoes. It was evident that so much thought, care, and detail was going into my order and it made the experience so personalized! It took just under 2 months for my shoes to arrive after initially placing the order, but I never had to question what was going on because I was informed every step of the way, and it was 100% worth the wait knowing I was getting a quality pair of shoes made just for me that will last a lifetime.

I’m so grateful to Beckett Simonon for allowing me to partake in this experience and I know for a fact this won’t be the last pair of shoes I order from them!
