The 90s Inspired Britney Spears Tee That I’m Obsessed With

It’s Britney bi***! Oops I did it again 😉…I went on another Abercrombie shopping spree and I have no regrets because I met my new favorite t-shirt! I’m literally obsessed and I’m feeling all of the nostalgic 90s vibes! Let’s take a walk down Britney memory lane shall we? When I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, all of my friends at school were talking about Britney Spears and how they loved her music but I didn’t know who she was! I remember asking my mom if I could get her CD (…Baby One More Time) because I desperately wanted to fit in, but she wouldn’t let me. I don’t remember the exact reason why - I think it had something to do with her midriff bearing crop tops 😂 Since mom said no…I went straight to my dad lol I planned it when my mom wasn’t home and asked him if he would take me to Target so I could get her CD. My dad had no clue who Britney Spears was so naturally he said yes! I was so excited and I proudly showed my mom the CD when she got home 😅 I remember listening to her album over and over on the boom box (lol) in my room or in the car with my parents (I think my mom eventually got over her dislike for Britney!) I also vividly remember the posters that came with the CD cover insert and I taped them on my bedroom walls, and I specifically had a poster of this exact picture of Britney in my room! This shirt literally gives me all the feels and brings me back to my 8 year-old self who loved listening to Britney’s album and making up dance routines to her songs with my friends. I even had a Britney Spears Barbie doll in her red “Oops I Did It Again” outfit and I seriously hope I didn’t give it away! 😂❤️

I continued to listen to her music up until high school and saw her in concert with the Pussycat Dolls which was so fun!! Britney’s music was part of my adolescence and all of her songs relate back to a specific season in my life - I love how music can transport you to a certain time and place in that way! My all-time favorite Britney songs (in no particular order) are: Sometimes, Oops I Did It Again, Toxic, Hit Me Baby One More Time, Do Somethin’, Circus, & Slave 4 U. I tried to narrow it down to a top 5 but it’s too hard! What are your favorites?! I’d love to hear in the comments below!

I also watched the recent Hulu documentary episode that talks about Britney’s conservatorship with her father and it breaks my heart. I honestly forgot about the predicament she was in until this episode came out and all of this resurfaced on social media. I think Britney is one of the greatest entertainers of our generation; he was so talented and gifted from such a young age and I truly hope that she is able to regain her freedom in the near future. #FreeBritney 💖🦋
