How To Wear A Trench Coat This Spring

I know it’s only the second week of February, but thoughts of spring have already started infiltrating my brain and I’m dreaming of all the fun warm-weather outfits that await! It’s still fairly cold here in Phoenix (and I’m guessing it’s probably even colder where you live!) so I can’t quite start wearing dresses, but last weekend I wore this outfit that landed somewhere between winter and spring so I wanted to take some pics and share it with you!

There’s something about a beige, black, and cream color palette that makes my heart skip a beat so I was really vibing with this outfit! I’ve been having so much fun styling these New Balance sneakers that I recently got - this is my 2nd pair and I especially love this classic black color combo. They’re honestly the most versatile sneakers I own and they’re incredibly comfortable! They lean a bit more “dad sneaker” without feeling too masculine/chunky which is why I love them so much.

Speaking of versatile things, this trench coat has been one of my favorite additions to my closet in a long time! I’ve worn it with a dress and heeled boots for more of a dressy look, but wearing it casually like this is hands-down my favorite. It can take an otherwise simple outfit and give it a bit of that effortless oomph to take your look to “street style chic” status! I will definitely be bringing this to Barcelona next week since it’s going to be chilly and possibly rainy - I think it will be the perfect layering piece to wear over my neutral outfits!
