Lime Green Tropical Vacation Outfit
I’m in my lime green era right now and I’m loving this trending color! Don’t worry though, I’ve got some other fun eras coming up in July that I’m SO excited for (aka Speak Now Taylor’s Version and the Barbie Movie - get ready for lots of purple and pink)! Not only is lime green a trending color this summer but it’s also a nostalgic color for me since I wore it pretty often as a little girl. I think I might have worn it for one of my elementary school picture days 😅 Earlier this week I styled this off-the-shoulder top in a more casual way with cut off bermuda shorts and sneakers, but today I wanted to dress it up a little bit with these trouser shorts and matching heels. This outfit is giving me tropical vacation vibes and I could totally see myself wearing it with the ocean and some palm trees in the background.
My style has evolved a lot over the last decade, and now that I’m in my early 30’s, I’m all about trying to find the balance between trendy and timeless outfits. If that sounds like you too, I’m here to help! While it’s fun to buy new clothing items every season based on whatever the latest trends are, sometimes it’s not always realistic or in my budget to do that, so I have to get creative and find other alternatives to put together an outfit that looks “on-trend” without breaking the bank. Oftentimes I’ll get a few key pieces that I can mix and match with things that I already own. In this case, I bought this top and pair of heels knowing that lime green would be a trending color for spring/summer and I could use these 2 items to build a variety of outfits with bottoms I already have (i.e. jeans, denim shorts, trouser shorts, midi skirts, etc.) Trouser shorts and oversized suiting pieces were a big trend last year, but I still think these work with the top to give an overall “on-trend” look for summer!
Let me know if there are other tips & tricks you want me to share for trendy/timeless outfit inspo! xo
