Ranking My Favorite Outfits of 2023
It’s my last blog post of the year! I can’t believe 2024 is just around the corner…why does time seem to fly that much faster the older we get?! It’s always at this time of year that I like to reflect on my accomplishments, stand out moments, and of course, my favorite outfits. This year has been quite the wild ride and exceeded all of my expectations. 2023 has been my most successful year of blogging since I started in 2015. 🤯 That’s right, it took me 8 years to see real growth and traction in my online business, which is a friendly reminder that success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes consistent dedication, hard work, and numerous failed attempts! For someone like me who has contemplated giving up and leaving this blogging journey behind SO many times, I am so freaking PROUD of myself over this achievement! I connected with over 100k of you from all over the world and my blog traffic increased by more than 1,500% - I still can’t even process it! From the bottom of my heart…THANK YOU for being here 🫶🏻 This online community and your support truly means the world to me.
I think so often it’s easier for us to tear ourselves down and focus on all the things we aren’t doing right rather than taking a moment to pat ourselves on the back for the things we did well. So I’m taking this brief moment to be proud of this milestone year in my blogging journey, but I wouldn’t have gotten to this point if it wasn’t for one other person in particular: Taylor Swift. Yes, I’m being dead serious!
The Eras Tour brought us all together this year in the most beautiful, unexpected way and I got so much joy and fulfillment from creating outfit ideas for you! I loved reading every single one of your comments about how these outfits inspired you or gave you a game plan for what to buy/wear to the concert. And the great news is the tour isn’t even halfway over! We have so many more memories to make and live streams to watch in a few months when the international dates kick off - I can’t wait. I will definitely be creating more eras outfits in 2024 and I hope you’ll also find value in my everyday, neutral outfits that I’ll continue to share here, on Instagram, and LTK. My inbox is always open for content ideas that you’d like to see from me, too!
Now let’s dive in to my top 10 looks from this year (click the images to shop)…and I’d love to know which ones were your favorites!
TEN
I loved this laid-back summer look with a touch of elegance. This nude lace bodysuit was one of my favorite purchases this year and wearing it under this linen button down elevated the outfit a bit more! Plus, I loved styling olive green for the warmer months when it’s usually more of a fall/winter shade.
NINE
I had a vision for a Lover inspired outfit that matched the vibe of the album cover and I was so happy with how this turned out! The tie dye print and colors in this dress were a perfect match; I had so much fun planning out the rest of the details like the multi-colored heart sneakers, matching heart earrings, and the pastel pink clutch. I wanted to create something that would work for celebratory events like parties or showers and also The Eras Tour! The dress was very short on me so I didn’t feel comfortable wearing it aside from this photoshoot (even with shorts on underneath) so it got returned (I rarely ever do this when taking photos!), but I still had fun with these styled pictures and I got so much excitement from you on this one!
EIGHT
Some of my favorite outfits are the ones I put together on a whim with items I already own and love - this was one of those moments. I wanted to style this vegan leather skort for the summer months so I decided to pair it with this halter bodysuit and my high top Converse! It was so fun and I loved the sporty chic vibes of this look.
SEVEN
I love a sequin moment and this skirt was one of my fave additions to my wardrobe this year! I started 2023 with the motto “make the whole place shimmer” and it was a full circle moment with this being my last photographed outfit of the year ✨
SIX
I entered my trench coat era this year and idk how I went my whole life without one! It’s officially my new favorite layering piece and I’m ready to go back to London so I can wear it there 😂
FIVE
I absolutely LOVE this color block dress that I wore for Valentine’s Day! Pink and red is such a fun color combo and this is forever one of my favorite dresses in my closet. Spoiler: expect lots of compliments with this one! 💖
FOUR
This fall outfit was part of my “Everyday Eras” outfit series and was inspired by the Red album. I wanted to create a look that embodied the Taylor’s Version album cover and gave upstate New York fall feels. I love how this outfit turned out and it definitely got me in the mood for the cozy season!
THREE
This dress was my “meant to be” find of 2023. I fell in love with it over the summer but wasn’t prepared to pay $300 for a dress that I didn’t really need/have an occasion to wear it to. Then it was marked down on major sale and I scored it for less than $100! All the stars aligned and I loved dressing it down for fall with this cropped denim jacket and suede ankle boots.
TWO
This was the first look I styled with my new Prada bag which was so fun! It also symbolized my “back to basics” approach to fashion where I decided that I didn’t want to chase trends anymore and prioritize a capsule wardrobe that focused on timeless, neutral pieces that I could wear for years to come. I love this outfit so much and was so torn on whether to rank it #2 or #1…but without further ado…let’s see what my top outfit was!
ONE
This was hands down my favorite moment and outfit of this year! It was our first day in London and I wore this to high tea, Buckingham Palace, and strolling around Hyde Park. This was truly one of my happiest moments not only of this year but of my life - being in the city that was at the top of my bucket list ever since watching The Parent Trap as a little girl with Freddy - a real “pinch me” moment!
