A 1989 (Taylor's Version) Eras Tour Movie Outfit
EEK I can’t believe we’re exactly one week away from the premiere of The Eras Tour Movie!! 🤩🎬✨ October snuck up so fast but it’s such an exciting month thanks to the movie and 1989 (Taylor’s Version)! I really feel like I’m celebrating this album for the first time because I had a bit of a “falling out” with Taylor Swift after Red and at the time I naively thought we were “never ever ever getting back together” 💔 TLDR: I was in my country girl era circa 2010-2014 and when Taylor started to shift away from that genre it broke my heart, but as I got older I got over my grudge and in 2019 when Lover came out I was a smitten kitten all over again! 💖 Fast forward to March 17th of this year when I was in the crowd for opening night of The Eras Tour and I will never be the same…my Swiftie heart grew 13 sizes that day and I can’t get enough! So here we are planning outfits for the movie (we’re seeing it multiple times right?) and for opening weekend I had to go with something 1989 themed! 🏙
I wanted my outfit to give a nod to New York in celebration of the first track and all of Taylor’s amazing NYC street style photos from that era 🗽 It was such a fun time in her life and obviously with the re-record coming out in just a few weeks it only made sense to emulate that same street style chic vibe. I knew that I wanted to wear Keds since that was a shoe Taylor wore a lot during this era and I also wanted to do a fun jacket. As soon as I saw this denim one with pearls I freaked out and knew it was the one! The light wash is definitely on theme for 1989 blue and I loooove the embellished details - it reminds me of all the fun bejeweled outfits Taylor wore during her 1989 World Tour. Last but not least a NYC tee was a must and I love this simple graphic option I found on Etsy! I swear they have the BEST Swiftie merch and such a great variety too. Oh, and let’s not forget the RayBan sunglasses and red lip 😎 These finishing touches were a staple from the 1989 era and complete the whole look!
