9 Trending Shoe & Handbag Styles For Fall 2022
Fall is in full swing and I couldn’t be happier about the cooler temperatures that have finally made their way to Scottsdale! As I’ve been putting fall outfits together (now that I can actually wear sweaters + jackets!), I’ve realized that the biggest gap in my wardrobe currently is not enough handbag and shoe options to complete my fall looks. I have plenty of tops and bottoms to put loads of outfits together without question, but when it comes time to put some shoes on to head out the door, I’ve been at a loss and have had to reach for a pair of white sneakers that don’t fit the fall vibe or a pair of suede ankle boots that don’t quite hit right with my straight leg jeans. When it’s time to put all my things into a handbag, I’m left with two options that are unique colors and don’t go with just any outfit (my orange nylon belt bag or my pink circle bag). Needless to say I’m in a bit of an accessory pickle and need some help stat! As you guys know I love shopping (maybe a little too much 😉) and I always gravitate towards clothes the most with bags and shoes taking the back burner, but I’ve quickly realized just how important the right accessories are to complete your outfit because without them you’re kinda screwed! In today’s post I’m breaking down what’s at the top of my shoe + handbag wishlist and what the hottest trends are for fall.
Handbags
My handbag game has been pretty poor over the last several years if I’m being honest. I have my one staple Mansur Gavriel circle bag in a dusty pink color that I adore, but it doesn’t always go with everything, and then in the summertime I rotate between my orange Dagne Dover fanny pack (again, not super versatile due to the color) and straw bags, but otherwise those are the only bags in my arsenal. I’ve decided it’s time to invest in a proper bag for fall and at the top of my wishlist is this jacquard crescent bag. This shape is trending in such a big way this season and it reminds me of the style I used to carry when I was in middle school! I like that it’s smaller and has one main compartment for all my things - I’m honestly not a big fan of compartments/sections in my handbags. I love the jacquard pattern, stud details, and that the colors are darker and perfect for fall. It also has 2 strap options so that you can wear it on your shoulder or crossbody - I seriously love this bag so much!

Shoes
My fall shoe game is fairing a little bit better than my handbag game so I feel a bit better in this department 😉 Over the last couple of years I’ve invested in a couple pairs of Marc Fisher boots - it’s my favorite brand and my go-to when I’m in the market for a pair of boots! The quality is impeccable and the price point is very reasonable for the quality of their shoes. Every pair of boots I’ve purchased from Marc Fisher have been so comfortable and they hold up really well as long as you treat them with care. Last year I bought this lace-up shearling style (trend alert!) that I had been eyeing for YEARS and I’m so glad I pulled the trigger! This year I’ve got my eye on this suede pair with black accents because I feel like it will lend itself to wear with an all-black outfit.
Aside from boots, the only other pair of fall-ready shoes I have are a pair of white sneakers which I definitely plan to wear into these cooler months, but I’m looking for a bit more variety in my options. I just ordered this pair of loafers (also trending for fall) and I’m so excited to get them in the mail! This will be my first pair of loafers ever (aside from a pair of Hush Puppies that my mom made me wear when I was 5 😂) and I can’t wait to style them with jeans and dresses. Based on the online photos they seemed like a fairly decent look-a-like to Gucci loafers, so I’ll keep you posted on what they’re like in person. I’m also obsessed with this pair of platform ankle strap heels - the color is gorgeous and I feel like I would wear these with so many outfits!
