Johnny Cash Graphic Tee + Distressed Jeans
This may sound really silly, but I’ve always wanted one of those really cool looking graphic band tees that had Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, or Nirvana on them. You know the ones I’m talking about, right? Sometimes they’re distressed and have holes in them on purpose or they’re cropped and look really cute with high-waisted jeans. I’ve seen other girls style these band t-shirts and they pull it off effortlessly, but I had never purchased one out of fear of being a sell-out. You see, I felt like I couldn’t buy one because I’ve literally never listened to the music of these iconic bands 😳 If you asked me to name a Led Zeppelin song I’d draw a blank. Or if you showed me a picture of AC/DC I’d be like who’s that? I felt like I’d never get to be a part of the cool graphic tee club, but my wish finally came true! You can imagine my excitement when I came across this amazing Johnny Cash graphic tee because I have listened to and genuinely love his music 👏🏻🎤 It was an instant “add to cart” moment!
I do have to give Freddy some credit though, because he especially loves listening to Johnny Cash and introduced me to many songs that I wasn’t familiar with. My first introduction to his music, however, came from the movie Walk The Line. I mean, how can you not love Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon’s portrayal of Johnny Cash and June Carter?! I love their chemistry on screen and their voices together, too. Now that I finally had the band tee I’d always wanted, it was time to style it! And since I had been waiting for this moment for quite some time, I felt fairly prepared 😉 I pulled out my favorite pair of high-waisted Madewell jeans and these block heel sandals from Target (old, similar here). Next up were the accessories, and I definitely envisioned more of a chunky necklace with this look - this one by Gorjana is my favorite and currently on sale!
My favorite thing about this tee though is how soft and comfy it is! It’s not super fitted which also gives it more of that relaxed vibe. I can already tell it’s going to become a closet staple!
