2023 brought us The Eras Tour and it will go down in history as my favorite year ever! 🎤👸🏼💖🐍🪩🍂 Thankfully the tour is literally just getting warmed up - we’ve got so many international dates to look forward to in 2024 (hopefully new music and more TV releases) and I can’t wait! If you’re lucky enough to be attending a show this year then it’s time to start planning your outfit - don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place! I miss Taylor like it was the very first night & I feel so lucky that I was there to experience the magic of opening night (3/17/2023) in Glendale, AZ. That night was sparkling and I’ll never let it go (check out my Instagram Story highlight for videos!) and I want to keep reliving it! One way I know how to do that is through outfits 😍 In the months leading up to the concert I was dreaming up what I wanted to wear (I was really leaning into the Midnights era and wanted to go for a Bejeweled vibe!) which led me to create so many more outfits based on all of her songs! I’ve had the time of my life dreaming up outfit ideas for all of Taylor Swift’s musical eras and I can’t wait to keep the party going throughout the rest of her tour. I have a lot of history with Taylor Swift and so many memories tied to her songs during my high school and college years. I still remember buying her debut album during my freshman year of high school and since I was very into country music at that time I was instantly obsessed! My love for her music only grew when Fearless and Speak Now came out. Those 2 albums are hands-down my favorite because there’s so much nostalgia tied to them for me. I sang a lot of those songs when I had crushes on boys in high school or when some of them broke my heart, but my favorite song of hers definitely has to be Enchanted. I listened to that song on repeat the night that I met Freddy and the lyrics were the anthem of my heart…”I’m wonderstruck blushing all the way home”…”Please don’t be in love with someone else, please don’t have somebody waiting on you.” I even went to her Speak Now Tour in Los Angeles in 2011 and it was so amazing! It was when she shifted into more of a pop sound for Red that I started to lose my enchantment with her and it really bummed me out. I felt like she was leaving the country world behind and, in a way, me as well. After that I stopped listening to her new albums altogether and only heard her top hits when they played on the radio (Shake It Off, Blank Space, …Ready For It?). I eventually grew out of my country girl phase and it wasn’t until 2018 when I finally let go of my grudge (yes it took 6 years lol) and started listening to 1989 and Reputation. I fell in love with her music all over again and I was so mad at myself for letting those 6 years go by without my friend Taylor by my side. When she released Lover I felt like I was back in high school jamming out to my favorite artist and I haven’t looked back since 💖 I’ve especially loved the re-recordings she’s done so far (I’m a Speak Now girlie for life 💜 and I can’t freaking wait for Debut TV!) and it’s been so fun reminiscing on the songs that I grew up with. I’d love to hear what your favorite albums and/or songs are, too!
