Casual Work Wear

My full-time job requires more business professional attire, which has caused me to stock up on more slacks and blazers than I'd really like to own. However, occasionally on the weekend we're able to wear jeans, which makes me jump for joy! Of course, it still has to look professional and put-together, which can sometimes be difficult to achieve, especially since I'm used to wearing jeans very casually on my days off. Today I'd thought I'd put together a look that you can also replicate for your "casual Friday's" at the office so you can rock those jeans and still look fabulous!

You can never go wrong with a white button-up shirt. It's a classic staple every woman needs in her wardrobe! Obviously this can be worn more traditionally with slacks and a blazer, but you can absolutely wear it with your jeans too, making them feel a bit more dressed up. If you find that a button-up feels too stuffy with jeans, try rolling up the sleeves a bit to give a relaxed look. And don't feel like you have to wear white; mix it up with fun colors and patterns too!

The key to wearing jeans at the office is making sure they're free from distressing of any kind. A dark wash (or black denim) is preferred since it tends to look the most elevated, rather than a mid-wash that could come across as more casual or "off-duty". A tailored silhouette is also going to be more professional than, let's say, a boyfriend cut. Opt for a skinny, straight leg, or wide leg style. I love this classic skinny style, and these amazing flared black jeans!

And last but not least, play up your look with some fun shoes and accessories! I tend to wear flats during the week since I'm on my feet all day, but when I'm wearing denim at work I always make sure to wear heels to elevate the look. With all of the fall trends hitting stores now, there's so many amazing styles in beautiful textures and colors. In terms of accessories, BaubleBar has been one of my favorites for stylish and affordable pieces to complete my outfit. These tassle earrings are so fun, as well as this mixed media style!

Thanks for reading today's post & happy Wednesday! xo
