Spring Tablescape

It's officially that time of year...Spring is here! I love waking up to the shining sun, birds chirping, and fresh flowers in bloom. Growing up in Scottsdale, AZ, I distinctly remember the feeling of the first warm day of Spring and how excited I became at the thought of new things to come. Of course, that first warm day usually came in February (our winters are pretty much non-existent, ha!), but nevertheless, I loved the thought of summer being just around the corner, despite the blistering hot weather.

This is the first year I bought my own seasonal table decor, and I honestly don't ever want to have a bare table again! My mom always puts out seasonal decor on her dining table and throughout the house, and it made our home feel even homier. Not only is the decor nice to look at, but our home/apartment somehow feels less cluttered and cleaner when the table is set up, and I have to admit, I love that!

When I decided that I wanted to spruce up our dining table, I headed to our local Pier 1 Imports store and got the party started! All of their Spring and Easter merchandise was right in the front, so I didn't have to go very far to find what I wanted. It's so hard not to go a little overboard in there--I could have designed 3 different themed tables with all of their beautiful product; I love it all!

One of my favorite items I took home with me is the bunny votive candle holders. I like things that are slightly distressed or rustic looking, so these definitely appealed to me. That's also what I love about the candle pillars too!

I couldn't have a Spring table without fresh flowers, so I went to the floral department at our local Whole Foods. I've always been impressed with their selection and the quality. A couple weeks prior I had seen some beautiful tulips in an array of colors, but of course, they were completely sold out by the time I was ready to buy flowers. I opted for their petite bouquet arrangements, which are just as gorgeous, and also a great idea for pre-made bridesmaid bouquets. I love all of the different elements that I was able to play around with when diving them up between my 4 milk jar vases. Dusty miller is one of my favorite components in an arrangement (the silvery-grey leaves; I used it in my wedding bouquet), so when I saw it in the petite bouquet, I knew that was the one I wanted!

Another fun item I picked up at Pier 1 was this bird house salt and pepper shaker. It's a fresh update to the ones we use everyday, and it fits right in with the rest of the decor.

I used the milk jar vases for our wedding reception, and painted a strip of gold foil pant along the bottom at varying widths to give it a unique look. I love using them because it takes me back to sweet memories of our wedding day!

Blushfully,

Belle
