Strung in Sunlight
Spring has really been showing off here in Scottsdale this past week! With temperatures barely reaching the high 70's it's been a dream, and Freddy and I can't get enough of being outside to enjoy it. We love going for jogs when we get off work in the early evenings, or walking around Old Town before grabbing a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
Since moving back to Arizona in February, we are definitely taking advantage of this amazing weather before it gets too hot come May. Honestly, I don't think we were ever quite outside this much in Austin because it was so dang humid all the time and we always felt gross! We never even wanted to keep the windows open just for that reason, but now we love cooling down our apartment with a fresh morning breeze to start the day.
In today's look I'm keeping it casual but adding a pop of color with these pom-pom flats I just got from J. Crew. Suede is a common theme with most of the shoes in my closest, and no, it's not just for winter! Suede can provide a rich texture and looks great in bright colors. Plus, this style has a grosgrain ribbon detail that is oh-so-chic. I've been into flats a lot lately just because they are the perfect shoe for walking around town or running errands while being stylish and comfortable--it's a rare combination to find! J. Crew has a beautiful selection of different flats, even some sandals, that are perfect for the season right now. This Liberty print pair is a fresh take on a classic style, while this tie-front pair in the berry print is absolutely adorable! And who doesn't love gingham for Spring?
I've been living in my Frame cropped, flare denim ever since I got them a few weeks ago! If it's your first time ordering a pair of Frame jeans, I recommend sizing down since they have a decent amount of stretch in them. But honestly they're so comfortable, and I love pairing this style with more fitted tops, or also with a longer, tunic style like this Akris Punto top I got last Spring. Since it's an old style, I've linked some similar tops that I found at the bottom of the page.
What do you love most about Spring? Or, if Spring hasn't quite made it to your neck of the woods, what are you looking forward to? Make it a great day! xo
Blushfully,
Belle
