Shades of Pink

During the month of February, all of the pink pieces in my closet make more appearances than they do any other time of the year. I'm honestly not quite sure why, because I love the color, and it makes me happy when I wear it! Perhaps because Valentine's Day is on my mind and that's when I start to have dreams of all things heart-shaped and blush colored.

This year since Freddy and I were moving on Valentine's Day (more info here), we didn't have our usual "date night" for obvious reasons, and we were both fine with it. But, since he knew that we wouldn't be able to celebrate/exchange gifts in our usual fashion he gave me my present a week early. Inside was this oh-so-cozy blush sweater, statement earrings and bold lip color that I'm in love with!

This is the first off-the-shoulder piece I have owned and I literally want to wear it every day! I was a bit skeptical of the trend because I was nervous about how it would look on me and if it would make my shoulders appear broader. But I'm surprised at how much I like it and the sweater is so comfortable it almost feels like I'm wearing a blanket in public. Definitely a win in my book!

I had been eyeing these BaubleBar earrings for a few weeks and loved all of the gorgeous colors they come in (loving the stripe version and also the fuchsia pink). Freddy took notice (love him!) and definitely surprised me with these beauties! They are wrapped in a lightweight thread that gives the effect of raffia, which is perfect for spring/summer. I'm so excited to wear these with everything this season!

I've been trying to switch up my lip color game lately and try things outside my comfort zone. I am a neutrals girl at heart, and my go-to lip colors typically fall within that zone too. This new MAC Viva Glam lip color from Taraji P. Henson is just the pop of color I needed! Adding the matching, shimmery gloss on top takes it up another notch and provides lasting coverage throughout the day. This has me wanting to continue branching out to try bold lip colors more often!

My hubby really hit the ball out of the park this year (but if I'm being honest he always does) and I'm so excited to continue to wear these pieces into the spring season!

Blushfully,

Belle
